PUTRAJAYA : Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s morning meeting with Barisan Nasional members of parliament (MPs) today was to touch on the importance of upholding the strong ties between BN components.
Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) deputy Wanita chief Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said Najib, who is also BN chairman, had likened the ties to a family unit.
’We are a big family. It is like our own father and mother who give advice to their many children, urging them not to feel slighted if they feel too much attention is given to some and less on the rest,” she said.
She, however, said the meeting did not touch on candidacy for the 14th general election (GE14).
Meanwhile, MIC Federal Territory chairman Datuk M. Saravanan said the meeting stressed on the need to close ranks.
“The speech was short but impactful as it boosted our spirits. Whether or not we are chosen as candidates, the most important thing is we must work together,” he said.
Saravanan said all those present were fired up and motivated after the meeting.
