PUTRAJAYA - The Registrar of Societies has sent a letter to DAP to inform the party of its findings on the central executive committee re-election held on Nov 12 last year.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said on Tuesday (Feb 6) that the letter issued on Monday (Feb 5) stated that the RoS found that the re-election complied with all the requirements it had set.
“The letter is to confirm the re-election process and that DAP adhered to the directives issued by RoS based on to the party’s constitution,” he said on Tuesday.
On Feb 3, RoS, in a statement said that it agreed that the full report of the re-election be kept by audit firm appointed by DAP for a period of time as required by the party’s constitution.
The CEC re-election was held after ROS received complaints over the DAP CEC election that was held in 2012 and DAP CEC re-election on Sept 29, 2013.
ROS received 17 complaints on the matter from Selangor, Negri Sembilan and Penang.
