SHAH ALAM: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that Selangor Pakatan Harapan will hold a meeting on Wednesday to settle the issue of seat allocations.
“I see this as very positive progress as we are heading to discuss seat allocations, trying to reach a consensus towards winning the general election,” said Azmin.
Azmin, who is also state Pakatan chairman said that as advised by PH chairperson Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, all discussions must be closed-door until a consensus was reached.
“I hope all parties will reach an agreement, which is the best scenario,” he was quoted as saying by The Star Online after opening the fourth annual-general-meeting of retired security forces personnel group Pahlawan in Seksyen 7 here Tuesday (Feb 6).
Azmin also said that should some seats require more discussions among the component parties, then it warrants the necessary space because the discussions might involve “seat swapping or cross-state seat exchange”.
It is understood that the seat negotiation meeting will take place on Wednesday (Feb 7) morning at an undisclosed location in Shah Alam.
Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin, Sri Andalas assemblyman Dr Xavier Jeyakumar, Subang MP Sivarasa Rasiah and Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian are set to represent PKR in the meeting.
