V.K. Sasikala’s husband M. Natarajan passes away

Tamil Nadu, India - M. Natarajan, husband of former Jayalalithaa aide VK Sasikala, died on Tuesday. He was 75.
“It is with profound grief and sorrow that we announce the sad demise of Natarajan Maruthappa at 1.35 AM today,” an official release issued by Shanmuga Priyan, chief operating officer of Gleneagles Global Health City, said.
Natarajan was admitted to the hospital on Saturday with severe chest infection and was put on ventilator support.
Authorities in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison confirmed that Sasikala has applied for parole. An official said, "We will decide on when she can leave to Chennai after confirming the information. We are yet to decide on the number of days of parole. We will do it once we get a complete understanding of the situation."
DMK working president M. K. Stalin and Deputy Leader of Opposition Duraimurugan paid their last respects. "His death is an irreparable loss. Natarajan had great interest in Dravidian ideology. His participation in the anti-Hindi agitations cannot be forgotten," Mr. Stalin said.
